ProLeiT receives Dairy Technology Award at Anuga FoodTec 2012

ProLeiT AG will receive the Dairy Technology Award bestowed by the “Industrial Dairy Magazine” (Bücker Fachverlag GmbH & Co. KG) at Anuga FoodTec in Cologne. In the "Process and Automation Engineering" category, the "Autotuning Function" specifically designed by ProLeiT left all the other competitors in its wake and demonstrated once again the innovative strength of ProLeiT automation solutions. The new PID controller with autotuning function is an integral part of the Plant iT process control system and effectively supports ProLeiT customers in optimising their production processes. It thus provides the basis for increased yields whilst reducing losses and improving efficiency in terms of time. The coveted award will be presented to ProLeiT on the occasion of the trade fair at the Kristallsaal in Cologne on 28th March 2012 at 04.00 p.m.

At its own trade fair stand in Hall 4.1 / Stand D013 ProLeiT will display a real-world reference project which highlights the benefits of the award-winning "Autotuning Function". But this is not all: Visitors will also have the opportunity to admire numerous specific solutions which have been successfully implemented for customers in the food and beverage industry – and can be considered best practice examples for the outstanding performance of the innovative process control system: Plant iT. MES included.

In addition, ProLeiT has another event to celebrate at the trade fair: At Anuga FoodTec, Munich Technical University (TUM) will be bestowed the "Golden International FoodTec Award" by DLG (German Agricultural Society) in recognition of its development of the "Weihenstephan Standards for production data acquisition". The "Weihenstephan Standards" are based on an innovative concept approached for the very first time. They enable the manufacturer- and process-independent acquisition of data in the food and beverage industry. The solution developed, which is becoming ever more widely accepted, can significantly improve the options for quality assurance and efficiency increase in this industry. And - ProLeiT has significantly contributed to the development of the "Weihenstephan Standards". Munich Technical University will present itself as the gold medal winner at the DLG stand in Hall 5.1, Stand D 021.

The following exhibits will be showcased at our trade fair stand:

Kaanlar Food Industry and Trade Co.

This Turkish company relies on the sophisticated scope of functions provided by Plant iT V8.20 and the ALPMA process technology in its new cheese factory. In addition to process-oriented materials management, the award-winning PID controller with "Autotuning Function“ is applied for the automation of the entire milk preparation – from milk receipt and the heating up of cheesemaking milk right up to recombination. Materials management ensures stock control and batch traceability throughout the entire production process.
Extended application of Plant iT in Germany’s most modern industrial bakery

Glockenbrot, which is part of the REWE Group, has expanded its production capacity. To this end the bakery decided to use Plant iT from ProLeiT AG, which is already in operation at several of its other production sites, at its new facility in Bergkirchen, Germany. The trade fair exhibit shows the process areas of the control unit, dosing and mixing, as well as the integration of auxiliary plants.

Munich Technical University (TUM)

In close cooperation with Munich Technical University (TUM), ProLeiT has conducted a research project on "Production-based energy management in the food industry". On the basis of real data from German dairies, the research project focused on increasing energy efficiency through production-based planning. At our trade fair stand we will present the results of this project in detail. Furthermore, we will provide impressive proof of how we were able to generate significant key performance figures and introduce energy-related process simulations at the same time: The prerequisite for this dual approach was a standardised description of the production sequences and an analysis of the actual energy consumption within the process plants - whilst taking the power demand into account during production planning.
