drinktec 2009, the world fair for beverage and liquid food technology, will showcase the entire international range of beverage technology at Munich's fairgrounds.
On the occasion of this special event, ProLeiT will present numerous specific automation solutions from the brewing and soft drink industry, implemented on the most recent system generation of Plant iT or brewmaxx.
The standard versions of these systems even include a large range of MES functions. Thanks to centralized order management, integrated materials management and production data management for bottling plants, they successfully meet the requirements of the industry sector.
At our booth, visitors will be able to admire not only application examples from the fields of production and bottling, but also customized MES solutions, even including the interfacing to ERP systems.
brewmaxx – PCS applications for breweries
Of particular interest is the migration project of the Warsteiner brewery. Equipped with brewmaxx V8 and integrated materials management, the first implementation stage of this innovative project has entered operation without the need for any interruption of production. Combined with fully automated silo management, the project not only ensures consistent malt transport with ultra-short path selection, but also includes the first batch tracking stage. An automatic week organizer, the connection to the laboratory for quality assurance as well as integrated energy data acquisition make this project a success story.
The SABMiller project, which recently entered operation in the Russian city of Ulyanovsk, is on show as a prime example of consistently automated new plants. It supports all process stages of a brewery up to complete MES packaging.
The comprehensive MES functions for process stage-independent reporting - along with materials management with batch pre- and post-tracking and interfacing to SAP R/3® - implemented in the Cruzcampo project in Seville can be admired at our booth as another interesting application example for Greenfield projects.
Plant iT – PCS applications for soft drink production plants
The syrup and beverage mixing plant installed for Juhayna in the Cairo region, with integrated materials management for batch tracking and container identification via WLAN scanners, represents the current state of the art.
The entire process - including incoming goods receipt, quality control, incoming order processing, process control, reporting and product traceability - is controlled by Plant Batch iT.
Plant Acquis iT - PDA for bottling and packaging plants
The "PDA Krostitzer Brewery" exhibit impressively demonstrates the efficient retrofit of an existing bottling plant with an ultra-modern production data acquisition system. Signals not acquired online must be entered by manual input. Equipped with functions for order entry directly on site based on shift planning, comprehensive weak point analysis with fault allocation (ABC evaluation), the determination of plant characteristics such as the utilization factor, output or availability and EXCEL-based reporting, this retrofit represents a pragmatic and highly efficient solution for subsequently installed PDA functionality.
The application implemented for SABMiller in Ulyanovsk is based on a high-end MES packaging solution – customized to the specifications of the 2005 Weihenstephaner Standards.
Smoothly combines sophisticated functions and a high level of integration: brewmaxx pur.
