ProLeiT at Brau Beviale 2011

Industry specific solutions for the brewing and beverages industry

ProLeiT AG, with its headquarters in Herzogenaurach, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. Brau Beviale 2011 thus marks a great opportunity for the company to present the outstanding performance of its Plant iT and brewmaxx system families using the example of implemented reference projects. Innovative process control engineering, MES included.

In the year of its anniversary ProLeiT will present a large number of sector specific solutions for the brewing and beverage industries which impressively demonstrate to trade show visitors how innovative automation solutions designed by ProLeiT are implemented in practice at the customer.

Carlsberg UK Ltd Brewery, Northampton/United Kingdom

Within the framework of a capacity expansion from 4 to 6 million hl/a, Carlsberg UK is striving to harmonise and re-automate its brewery's entire automation level on the basis of brewmaxx V8. Ultramodern structures and highly efficient cellar management enable it to carry out a conversion whilst production continues to run at full capacity. Extract tracking and the ProLeiT Visu-Recorder functionality for the entire plant, along with the visualisation of the fermenting cellar capacity utilisation for optimised tank filling, smoothly complement this sophisticated solution.

Fritz Egger GmbH & Co. KG Private Brewery, Unterradlberg/Austria

This medium-sized brewery is expanding the capacity of its brewing plant with its modernisation project. The exhibit shows the consistent automation from the brewhouse up to the filter on the basis of brewmaxx V8.20. Integrated materials management secures the inventory management of raw materials and batch traceability along the entire brewing process. The reporting feature of this automation solution deserves special mention - the newly developed brewmaxx Report Designer is ideal for this purpose: After all, it supports the brewery's personnel in the convenient and flexible parameterisation of reports depending on individual requirements. In addition, it enables selective access to the process and material data collected.

SAB Miller Brewery, Ulyanovsk/Russia

Consistent automation from malt receipt up to the pressure tanks on the basis of brewmaxx V8 and an ultramodern MES solution for production and packaging (incl. materials management, batch tracking, productivity characteristics, consumption statistics for energy, water and the use of raw materials). The integrated MES system ensures batch tracking and tracing from the receipt of raw material up to the transfer of the finished products to the warehouse (materials management) - including the bottling and packaging plants (Line Management System).

AmBev Cebrasa, Anápolis/Brazil

This exhibit demonstrates the automation of a filter line with brewmaxx based on Rockwell Automation PACs. Within the framework of the overall project, the brewery plant is being consistently implemented via brewmaxx V8.20 on ControlLogix controllers - from the brewhouse up to the pressure tank cellar. For the operation of its plant, the company decided in favour of a low-maintenance and energy saving "thin client" solution. To this end the workstations only provide the user interface whereas the data is processed and stored on a central basis on a terminal server.

Schlossbrunnen Wüllner GmbH & Co. KG, Hecklingen/Germany

Conversion and automation of the syrup room of Schloss Quelle Gaensefurther. A classical modernisation project with conversion during production - including the integration of the CIPs, the tank farm and the water house. Plant Batch iT provides for a reduction of syrup preparation throughput times worthy of mention and thus increases productivity. Integrated materials management secures the entire batch tracking and tracing from the finished product up to the water house.
